Overview of the role 

The role will provide ongoing support to the new SharePoint Application Team as well as the Project Application Team Lead. 

The SharePoint Application Team supports the Intranet, B2C and Team Sites into the business. In addition, the role includes support of the project applications Caliber, Quality Centre and PlanView which are overseen by the Programme Lead. 

Business Analyst Role 

  • This is a permanent role reporting to the Senior Business Analyst.
  • To support the SharePoint Team  Application Team with ongoing progression of the Intranet and business-facing websites (B2C) and data repositories held in TeamSites.
  • To further support the Programme Lead with business analysis activities on the programme management tool PlanView, the Test Management tool Quality Centre and the requirements tool Caliber.
  • To ensure adherence to standards and processes as defined by the IT Projects governance model.
  • To support the release of deliverables of an agreed quality standard in a timely and professional manner.
  • To gather and successfully document the ongoing requirements for new SharePoint services, in Caliber and PlanView. 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrable high level of understanding of data migration within SharePoint environments
  • Experience working on Content/Document Management projects involving global locations, (experience of SharePoint 2013 would be a distinct advantage).
  • Experience of working on Caliber, Quality Centre or PlanView would be of benefit
  • Excellent knowledge of System and Business requirements definition and processes and modelling methods and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Visio, Project and Word.
  • Knowledge of requirements tracking software such as “Caliber”.
  • Knowledge of testing and defect tracking software such as “Quality centre”.
  • Knowledge of the business and system requirements definition (RD) processes and modelling methods and tools
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (“SDLC”) as used in a Waterfall environment
  • Knowledge of business analysis processes within an Agile project environment would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience of information analysis  - Practical experience and knowledge of Information Architecture would be an added bonus
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to support prototyping activities that will validate business requirements and solution definition
  • Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis.
