Exciting opportunity for a Lead Business Analyst/Business Analyst to join a Professional Services organisation based in the city for a contract assignment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing best practices
  • Steering and continually improving business analysis approach
  • Ensuring requirement deliverables are fit for purpose and audience intended
  • Communicating effectively with product owners
  • Delivering agreed standards of quality and consistency
  • Manage and facilitate a Business Analysts forum to help with alignment and escalations
  • Act as mentor to business analysts and assist with cross project activities such as Prioritisations
  • Provide input into the project planning process in the form of time estimates and approach for business analysis activities 

Carry out agile business analysis activities on projects, including: 

  • Defining requirements (user stories)
  • Managing backlog priorities
  • Managing and communicating changes to requirements
  • Ensuring requirement traceability in relation to development tasks and test cases
  • Effectively manage risks and issues in relation to business analysis activities
  • Support the activities of business users during the UAT phase of projects and oversee approach being undertaken 
  • Experience in the leadership of Business Analyst resources and the delivery of business analysis project activities 
  • Experience in carrying out agile Business Analyst activities, including requirements analysis, defining user stories, prototyping (wireframes, storyboards), process modelling and use case analysis 
  • Experience with managing priorities and expectations across multiple product owners 
  • Experience of defining requirements for integration with third party systems using web services and custom APIs, (e.g. Auth0, Qlikview APIs, LDAP) 
  • Experience working within a scrum product development team using Microsoft technologies (e.g. C# / .net and SQL), web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, Bootstrap and third party JavaScript libraries such as Toastr, Razr) and data analytics technologies (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar) 
  • Desired: Project management experience in facilitating high intensity and rapid development lifecycles 
  • Understanding of accounting and/or auditing concepts would be highly advantageous
