Exciting opportunity for an Implementation Project Manager to join a Professional Services organisation based in the city for a contract assignment.

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience of taking applications from build complete through to production go live and building a business-as-usual service model across multiple locations around the world is needed to oversee the technical side of the global roll out. You will act as the central contact point for the technical community implementing the programme of work.




  • Own and manage the global implementation plan to ensure regular successful delivery of new products and features to production, bringing together:

    • Product increment releases (from product development teams)

    • Implementation timings agreed with the hosting teams at our regional data centres around the world

    • Pilot and go live expectations (from product owners)

    • Other activities which may constrain implementation timings (e.g. infrastructure work or testing)

  • Working with the release manager, ensure that the quality of releases (including documentation and testing sign off) is high before sending out

  • Chair and minute regular community calls with the regional hosting teams and the local territory implementation teams, and run other briefings and training sessions as required (e.g. for new products)

  • Prepare implementation and BAU briefing and reference materials, e.g. runbook, standard procedures, etc

  • Act as central point of contact for all hosting locations and territories for technology queries during implementation

  • Provide incident management support to hosting teams in case of issues during implementation windows

  • Work with hosting location IT teams to refine and implement their service wrapper for BAU (e.g. ITIL)

  • Track and report on operational status and metrics across all hosting locations and territories

  • Identify and manage risks and issues associated with implementation and business as usual activities

  • Work collaboratively with all team member including 3rd party vendor resources as required.


Skills & Experience


  • Release, configuration and change management

  • Experience working with and managing off-shore / 3rd party teams

  • Understanding of infrastructure, application architecture and deployment, so you can convincingly guide technical teams  and act as their escalation point when they need help

  • Understanding of data analytics products and process including extract/transform/load, data management and analytics tools (particularly Qlikview)

  • Exposure to a range of modern application technologies: Microsoft (e.g. C# / .net and SQL), web (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, etc)

  • Advanced project plan, information tracking and presentation skills to be able to present current state across a wide range of activities and locations at any time to either technical or business stakeholders

  • Capable of describing technical issues, solutions, risks and mitigations in a way that non-technical business users can understand

  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies, ideally with exposure to Agile projects

  • Good understanding of ITIL and service management / governance practices as applicable to an effective support organisation.

  • Confident approach, self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Flexible and team focused working style within a multi-skilled team.
