Excellent opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Programme Manager to work in global organisation. 

Essential skills required

  • Proven relevant programme management experience
  • Experience of managing large, high profile infrastructure programmes of work.
  • Experience of managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Multi-country Program Management experience (£5-10M+ programs).
  • Degree level educated or equivalent experience.
  • Availability to travel internationally for business purposes.
  • Proven track record of deploying infrastructure
  • Diverse knowledge of infrastructure technology
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Able to operate with multi geographic teams and locations 

Objectives:

  • Has line management responsibility for the Infrastructure project teams.
  • Responsible for the day to day management, motivation and development of direct reports.
  • Provides direction to all project, service and solution teams for infrastructure delivery activities.
  • Takes overall responsibility and accountability for the deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality of all projects within the Infrastructure programme.
  • Support development / reviews / approves project plans, manages issues & risks, contributes to issue resolution, allocates and directs staff and other resources to accomplish project tasks, maintains full control over all aspects of the Infrastructure programme. 
  • Engages business and IT sponsors to ensure correct scope and parameters for delivery.
  • Monitors the progress of the team, including employee and / or vendor team members, informs the team of its progress and provides the team with support, direction and leadership. 
  • Produces timely and accurate reports to executive management regarding progress, issues, risks and conflicts.
  • Works with vendor team management to supervise / develop vendor resources.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with vendor resources and vendor management.
  • Leads by example. 
  • Ensures that Peer Reviews and Project Monitoring activities occur.
  • Interfaces with executive management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding programme direction.

Preferable

  • Ability to oversee multiple large and complex IT infrastructure projects involving multiple vendors and stakeholders in diverse geographical locations.
  • Detailed knowledge of Programme Management methodologies and tools and the software development life cycles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and able to operate pragmatically
  • Outstanding communication skills in both written and spoken form.
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills and strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project.
  • Ability to communicate with senior business and vendor stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of programme financials and budgeting
  • Ability to deliver quality solutions to customers and develop process improvements where applicable
  • Ability to operate with the utmost integrity and consistently display a positive attitude to work and the various challenges encountered in a programme environment
  • Takes a hands-on approach to the management of all programme activities and drives teams to deliver quality in a timely fashion.
