This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment at the one of the largest professional services firms world-wide. We are currently hiring talented people to help grow our data analytics platform and suite of applications. 

The analytics team is embedded into the business, which engenders strong collaboration between business and technical teams driving innovation, an agile mind-set and a hands-on approach to all aspects of system design, business requirements, analytics, implementation, deployment and end-user support. 

We are looking for a developer with good experience of building and deploying .NET applications to assist with the design and development of an existing data processing and business intelligence platform implemented in WPF, VB.NET, Entity Framework and SQL Server. 

The role calls for .NET and SQL development skill sets in addition to strong communication and comprehension skills and the ability to manage design conversations with key stakeholders. 

Required skills:

  • .NET experience, VB or C# preferred
  • SQL Server interaction, Transact SQL (TSQL), or Entity Framework preferred
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication and comprehension skills
  • Focus on delivery of high-quality, working products
  • Advocacy
  • Rigorous self-checking and hardening of own work
  • Produce technical documentation for areas of responsibility
  • Able to flex style and work with a global mind-set

Nice to have:

  • Working as part of an Agile team Experience
  • Implementation of design patterns, Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) or Model-View Controller (MVC)
  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
  • Component Composition, Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF)
  • UI Design Principals, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or Website Design
  • Software Engineering Principals, Architecture / Solutions design
  • Visual Studio 2010+ (VS) / Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience
  • Quality Controls, Unit Testing, preferably Visual Studio 2013 and TFS Code Reviews
