Providing the business with beneficial, user focused enhancements to the trading systems

Delivering robust, scalable, and supportable solutions

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Understand business requirements and carrying out technical business analysis
Delivering agile software solutions using Microsoft technologies
Ensure the development life-cycle and standards are followed
Handing over all solutions to the IT support team, and providing 3rd line support
Documenting and sharing knowledge on all development

 

Skills & Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and facilitation
Ability to engage and work with stakeholders globally
Enthusiastic and innovative approach to work
Analytical thinker
Excellent programming fundamentals
Ability to balance ideal solutions with practical delivery of requirements
Extensive object oriented analysis and design experience
Excellent knowledge of design patterns and re-factoring
Business Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) using testing tools such as MSTest and Mock Objects
SCRUM and similar agile methodologies
Strong technical ability in the following technologies:
.NET 4/4.5
C#
Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2012
ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Ajax, jQuery and CSS
Entity Framework 5/6
SQL Server 2008 /2012
Visual Studio 2013
MSTest, Rhino Mocks, NSubstitute

 

Experience

Experience with Endur .Net OpenComponents advantageous but not essential
Technical abilities that would be an advantage:
Enterprise Developer on complex .NET projects
RabbitMQ
SpecFlow
An understanding of the trade lifecycle and trading instruments would be an advantage

Substantial software development experience
Substantial experience in building solutions in a rapidly growing and fast-moving business environment
Experience within a commodity/financial trading/betting organisation is essential

 

Education

Degree in a scientific, computing or engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Professional certifications in desired skill areas an advantage
